China-UK Cooperation Project "Interface and Network Interaction of EV and Smart Grid" Seminar Concluded

The seminar on Interface and Network Interaction of EV and Smart Grid, the China-UK cooperation project co-funded by NSFC and EPSRC was held at Shao Yifu Science Building in Zhejiang University this Monday May 19.

The seminar attracted about 50 delegates from both UK and China side. Among the attendees, there were Prof Ding Lijian, director of division of Electrical Engineering from NSFC, Prof T. C. Green and Dr D. C. Yates from Imperial College London, UK, Prof S. J. Finney and Dr Xu Lie from the University of Strathclyde, UK, delegates from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China Electric Power Research Institute, and faculties and graduate students from Zhejiang University.

The seminar was chaired by Prof He Xiangning, vice dean of EE College. Prof Guo Chuangxin, vice dean of the College delivered a welcome speech. Prof Xue Yusheng, emeritus dean from State Grid Electric Power Research Institute afterward made a keynote speech.

The two sides exchanged opinions among the members what research achievements had recently been made one year after the implementation of the project. After eight impressive presentations, the attendees discussed further about how the project should be carried on and how the research fruits should be transferred. They also reached the agreement on academic exchanges of graduate students between the two sides.
