National Engineering Center for Applied Power Electronics

Officially approved in 1996, the Center was established for operation in Dec, 2008 with a total investment of 30 million yuan, among which $ 2 million were from World Bank loans. It is equipped with Power Electronic Systems Simulation Laboratory, Electromagnetic Compatibility Pre-certification Laboratory, PCB processing and testing equipments, and a variety of general and testing equipments. 

The Center enjoys a dynamic research team with high academic standard, rich engineering experience and pioneering spirit. There are 7 professors, 7 associate professors / senior engineers, ten doctoral students, and dozens of graduate students and engineers, among whom, Prof Wang Yousheng (the Member of Chinese Academy of Engineering) acts a core role. A number of research achievements, which have reached international standard or are domestically advanced, are ready for conversion with their good market prospects.

The Center focuses its research and applications on Intelligent Electrical Induction Heating System, Modern All- digital Speed Regulation System, Intelligent Control Technology, and High-frequency Switching Power Supply System.
