System Science and Engineering

The program requires 160 credits for graduation. Its graduates will receive BS in Engineering after 4 years academic study. 

Educational Objectives:
1 To provide students with ground knowledge of natural science and overall capacity of social science, management science and foreign language.
2 to provide students with thorough groundings in the field of System Science and Engineering, who will be strictly trained with scientific experiments and research ability.
3 To prepare students for engage,m in large-scale and complex system analysis and integration, design and operation, research and development, management and decision-making, etc. in the related fields such as complex industrial production system, economic management system and service system.
4 To prepare students for innovative and interdisciplinary high-level engineering professionals and management talents with global vision and broad general knowledge.
5 To prepare students for high-quality innovative talents and future leaders with global vision and spirit of Truth-Seeking.

Outcomes:
Students attending the program are generally required to learn foundamentals of system science, policy management, control systems, computer systems, etc.. They will be equipped with capabilities of system analysis and design, research and development, management and decision-making.

To prepare students for the Program the above Educational Objectives to be achieved, a set of program outcomes are carefully designed as follows. Knowledge and abilities its graduates need to have are:
1. deep understandings of fundementals of science such as mathematics and physics, good knowledge of groundings of social science and management science, and good command of foreign language.
2. systematic knowledge of basic theory of technologies necessary in areas of expertise, including control theory, large scale system theory, management science, computer network technology, etc..
3. favorable ability in literature search and reading, and good understanding of cutting-edge trends of the relevant field.
4. better engineering practice training in system analysis, system integration, system management, system design, and system development.
5. favorable job adaptation, and comprehensive skills in scientific research and development, and organization and management.
