Electronic and Information Engineering

The program requires 160 credits for graduation. Its graduates will receive BS in Engineering after 4 years academic study.

Educational Objectives:
1 to provide students with ground knowledge of natural science like Mathematics and Physics, and overall capacity of social science, management science and foreign language.
2 to provide students with a thorough grounding in areas of power electronics, microelectronics, information electronics, integrated circuit design, computer software and hardware.
3 to prepare students for engagement in scientific research, technological development, product design, production technology and management in the related fields such as power electronics, integrated circuits and systems, electronic systems design and automation, electronic information and systems, computer science and technology.
4 to prepare students for innovative and interdisciplinary high-level engineering professionals and management talents with broad general knowledge;
5 to prepare students for high-quality innovative talents and future leaders with global vision and the spirit of truth-seeking.

Outcomes:
Students attending the program are generally required to learn foundmentals of power electronics, microelectronics, information electronics, integrated circuit design, computer software and hardware, etc. Students are to receive basic training of technical engineering and scientific research in the above fields. They will be equipped with compositive capability of research, technological development, product design, production technology and management in power electronics, integrated circuits and systems, electronic system design and its automation, electronic information and systems, computer science and technology and other related areas.

To prepare students for the Program the above educational objectives to be achieved, a set of program outcomes are carefully designed as follows. Knowledge and abilities that graduates need to have are:
1. deep understandings of science foundementals such as mathematics and physics, foundmentals of social science and management science, and good command of foreign language.
2. systematic knowledge of basic theories of technology necessary in areas of expertise, and capablity of engagement in areas like power electronics, integrated circuits and systems, information and electronics, and computer,etc..
3. favorable ability in addressing design, research and development of analog and digital electronic systems, power electronic systems, VLSI systems, automated design software, and electronic information systems.
4. favorable ability of basic theory and application in Information acquisition, processing and transmission;
5. favorable ability in acquiring latest knowledge and techonology.
