Ph.D. in Circuit and System

The candidates will receive Ph.D. in Circuit and System after 3.5 years academic study.

Educational Objectives:
1. Graduates will have the ability of integrating knowledge of breadth and depth of the related field, understanding sharply current work and frontiers of international and domestic research within the field.
2. Graduates will be equipped with fair attitude of truth-seeking and team work, who will explore consistently in his own research field with fruit of innovative achievement.
3. Gradutes will be capable of a certain foreign language, proficient in professional reading and writing, and can thus communicate the results in clear, articulate written and oral forms.
4. Graduates will have the competency in teaching, reseach and engineering management of the field or the related field.

Main Areas of Research:
Deep Submicron VLSI Design
IC CAD technology
(SoC) Design Methodology
Modern Digital Electronics and Digital Systems
Low-power IC Design

Further Requirements:

Reading Report

Candidates are required to finish six reading reports, including at least 1or 2 reading reports publicly made at discipline or college forums.

Thesis Proposal

Usually the proposal should be finished before the end of summer semester of the first year.

English for Circuit and System

Candidates are capable of accomplishing the related literature references and reports as is required by supervisors and are to make an academic report in English.
