Faculties in Institute of Electric Power Systems Automation, together with Institute of Power Economics and Information from the Department of Electrical Engineering, are mostly engaged in areas of Power System and Automation:

• Power system alarm processing, fault diagnosis and system restoration

• Smart grid, renewable energy applications and electric vehicles
The Department sets comprehensive curricula to give students both theoretical and practical knowledge of the area. In addition to in-class teachings, the department offers as well co-op programs with its industrial partners to provide students for a more hands-on experience.
