With the strong commitment of making the college with international academic excellence, CEE attaches great importance to academic exchange and collaboration with its international partners.

Ever since its establishment, the College has successfully hosted series of international conferences such as ASAEM '2001, System-On-A-Chip Technology Symposium (2001), NFSI & ICFBI (2007), First International Symposium on Power Electronics and Energy Applications (2007), Doctoral Forum of UK-China on Smart Grid (2010),  The Second Flagship Seminar of FRENS (2010), 21st IEEE International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (2012) , The IET International Conference on Sustainable Power Generation and Supply (SUPERGEN 2012), The 9th Symposium on Linear Drives for Industry Application (LDIA2013), The Sixth International Conference on Advanced Computational Intelligence (ICACI2013) , The 17th International Conference on Electrical Machines and Systems (ICEMS2014), and The Second Zhejiang -Imperial College London (ICL) Workshop on Smart Energy Network and Storage (2015)  

 

The College has sent overseas 459 teachers as visiting scholars, and 506 students for academic exchange and joint training. Besides the employment of 12 foreign visiting professors and 35 part-time professor, it has invited 797 foreign experts to visit the College so far. Meanwhile, 124 international collabrative projects have been accomplished, and 26 joint laboratories either international or regional being established. The College has currently been in regular contact and cooperation with over 50 world-reknown institutions like Center for Power Electronics System (University of Virginia, USA), University of Wisconsin, Ohio University, Tokyo University, University of Sheffield, University of Berlin, University of Lund (Sweden), ETH University (Switzerland), University of Western Sydney (Australia), National University of Singapore, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan, and National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan. To support teachers for international conferences, a special fund for discipline construction was set up in 2003, which has sponsored 31 teachers and 126 students since 2005.
