The delegates from Power Energy Dedicated Advanced Centre of University of Malaya (UMPEDAC), Malaysia visited EE College this Thursday on Nov 5. Prof He Xiangning, the vice dean of the College attended the meeting together with faculties from Power Electronics.
Prof He Xiangning, vice dean of CEE, was introducing overall situation of the College to UMPEDAC delegates.
Prof He first introduced briefly the current situation of College’s teaching, research and international exchange. Prof Hew Wooi Ping, deputy director of UMPEDAC made short presentation on the center’s research area and future trend. After that, the two sides discussed in details the draft of MoU between CEE and UMPEDAC. Prof Hew meanwhile expressed hopes of sending UMPEDAC graduate students to CEE for research intership and collaboration. Both sides agreed that it was beneficial if they can take advantage of their disciplines and teaching resources to explore research cooperation. After the meeting, Prof Hew and his colleagues visited labs of Power Electronics and Microgrid Experimental Platform that was attached to Zhejiang Provincial Key Laboratory of Electrical Equipments & Systems on Marine Renewable Energy.
