There was a signing ceremony of strategic cooperation between EE College, Zhejiang University and Zhongke Electric Power Equipment Group (ZEPEG) on Oct 9 this Friday. The two sides intended to work closely on establishing a technology innovation platform to combine strengths of both sides in areas of power equipment, resources sharing, and talent training. Heads from EE College, Sci-tech Academy of Zhejiang University, Industrial Technology Research Institute of Zhejiang University attended the ceremony.
The signing ceremony of strategic cooperation between EE College and Zhongke Electric Power Equipment Group was held on Oct 9.
Prof Yan Jianhua, vice president of ZJU, addressed in his speech that EE College has had the tradition of serving society with its discipline strength and the collaboration meant to be a model of university-industrial partnership. He furthermore expressed his hope that the two sides assume their social responsibility in engaging their elites in research work such as achievement transformation.
ZEPEG, a well-known domestic smart electrical equipment supplier, has the capacity for designing and manufacturing smart grid integrated energy-saving automation equipment, complete sets of electrical equipment, energy-saving transformer, special transformer and other electrical equipments. According to the agreement, the two sides would establish a joint research institute, enterprise post-doctoral or graduate-student workstation, national training base, etc., by means of which the two aimed at jointly train outstanding engineers, senior blue-collar workers, and professionals. The cutting-edge technology urgently needed by enterprises was meanwhile expected in research to promote scientific achievement transformation.
