With the deepening of the reform of power systems, new energy system, such as integrated energy, energy internet, energy storage, are constantly releasing positive signals, ushering in the trend of rapid growth. Under such background, Research Center came into being, with Professor Song Yonghua, academician of the Royal Academy of Engineering, as the chief advisor, and Associate Professor Dong Shufeng as the director of the research center.

Wang Ruifei pointed out that the comprehensive utilization of new energy is the key node of the country in the field of energy, and the development space of the integrated energy intelligent operation platform is huge. He reviewed the long history of the College of Electrical Engineering and said that we should take advantages of the close integration of scientific research and industry development, improve the efficiency of scientific research achievements transformation, and promote the cultivation and exchange of talents between both sides. He also wished Research Center to flourish and become a banner of the industry.

Zhang Shunke emphasized three key words in his speech: concentration, openness and complementarity. He said that Research Center will focus on the direction of ‘Ai + IOT + integrated energy operation services’, focusing on the research and development of advanced products in the energy field, so as to realize the real ‘energy Internet +’. He pointed out that Research Center upholds an open and positive attitude, and extensively introduces outstanding talents, not only for College of Electrical Engineering, but also for the whole university and the whole world.

Wang Zhen, Professor of the College of Electrical Engineering, pointed out that the combination of production, learning and research is the inevitable trend of future development. On the one hand, it is conducive to incubating projects, realizing the landing of technological achievements; on the other hand, it is conducive to training innovative and entrepreneurial talents. He expressed the hope that Wanke Energy and Zhejiang University will work together to promote the sustainable development of Research Center.
