The 7th China-Korea Joint Workshop on Renewable Energy Integration was successfully held

The 7^th China-Korea Joint Workshop on Renewable Energy Integration was held from October 24^th to October 27^th at Sir Run Run Shaw Science Building. The conference was hosted by the College of Electrical Engineering of Zhejiang University and chaired by Professor Ding Yi and Dr. Zheng Taiying from Zhejiang University. Chinese experts attending the conference included Professor Shen Jianxin, Associate Dean of College of Electrical Engineering, Zhejiang University, Professor Kang Chongqing, Director of Electrical Engineering Department of Tsinghua University, Professor Qu Ronghai of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Professor Zhou Ming of North China Electric Power University, Professor Li Guojie of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Professor Wang Hongtao from Shandong University, Associate Professor Yu Dongmin from Northeast Electric Power University, and Dr. Xie Qiangqiang from Hangzhou University of Electronic Science and Technology. The Korean experts attending the conference included Professor Byongjun LEE from Korea University, Professor Yong Cheol Kang from Chonbuk National University, Professor Kyeon Hur from Yonsei University, Professor Jaewoong Shim from Inje University, and Dr. Heejin Kim from Yonsei University.

Professor Shen Jianxin warmly welcomed the experts, scholars and peers attending the conference on behalf of Zhejiang University. He said that in the long-term exchange of renewable energy and grid technology, China and South Korea have established a deep friendship and stable bilateral cooperation foundation, which is conducive to the complementarity and progress of the core technologies in the field of renewable energy.

Subsequently, Professor Ding Yi from Zhejiang University, Professor Kyeon Hur from Yonsei University, Professor Wang Hongtao from Shandong University, Dr. Heejin Kim from Yonsei University in Korea, Professor Qu Ronghai from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Professor Jaewoong Shim from Inje University in Korea, and Professor Byongjun LEE from Korea University, Professor Li Guojie from Shanghai Jiaotong University gave a keynote report on new energy and discussed with the experts.

Since 2012, Chinese and Korean professors have taken turns to lead the China-Korea New Energy Access Workshop. At the conferences over the years, experts from both China and South Korea have done the latest research reports on renewable energy, exchanged ideas with each other, and promoted the development of China and South Korea in the field of renewable energy. The purpose of this conference is to fully exchange the experience of the two parties in the grid connection, operation and planning of high-renewable renewable energy grids and thus jointly promote the development of renewable energy technologies in China and South Korea.
