Zhejiang Provincial Key Laboratory of Electrical Machine Systems (ZJ-LEMS) established

Zhejiang Provincial Key Laboratory of Electrical Machine Systems (ZJ-LEMS) was officially inaugurated on Nov. 25 and the first meeting of the Academic Committee was successfully held.

ZJ-LEMS, relying on the College of Electrical Engineering of Zhejiang University, was officially recognized by Science Technology Department of Zhejiang Province in October 2018 after years of trial operation.

The kick-off meeting of the ZJ-LEMS was chaired by TANG Haiyang, secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Electrical Engineering of Zhejiang University. TANG first introduced the academic committee members, guests, the principals of ZJ-LEMS and teachers of the College of Electrical Engineering of Zhejiang University.

Afterwards, Prof. SHENG Kuang, the dean of the College of Electrical Engineering of Zhejiang University gave a welcome speech. WANG Ruifei, secretary of the Party Committee of the Ocean College and the former secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Electrical Engineering of Zhejiang University, reviewed the construction process of ZJ-LEMS and expressed expectations for the laboratory.

SHENG issued a letter of appointment to the experts of the Academic Committee of ZJ-LEMS.

Afterwards, Academician XIA Changliang, the chief scientist of ZJ-LEMS made a speech. And Prof. SHEN Jianxin, director of ZJ-LEMS, reported the construction plan of ZJ-LEMS.

The first meeting of the Academic Committee of the ZJ-LEMS was chaired by Academician GU Guozhen, Chairman of the Academic Committee of the ZJ-LEMS. The members of the committee held a lively discussion and put forward suggestions and expectations for ZJ-LEMS. Academician XIA made a concluding speech and proposed future development plans.

The members of the Academic Committee of ZJ-LEMS, the representatives from Sci-tech Academy of Zhejiang University and teachers from the College of Electrical Engineering of Zhejiang University attended the conference.
